Shelburne County is alive with special events throughout the year, including fairs and festivals, music and community events, salmon suppers, community breakfasts, etc. We have listed some special events below.  Grand Re-Enactment Weekend July 17-20  Come out and watch as the 225 Anniversary of the Loyalist Landing is Re-Enacted Shelburne County Lobster Festival June 5-9 2008 throughout the county Celebrating the Lobster capital of Canada.  Birding and Nature Festival March 28-30 2008 Featuring the Brant Goose Flyaway, a natural spectical which only happens on Cape Sable Island. Festivals also includes bird tours , meals and lectures. Shelburne and Queens County Canada Day Celebrations July 1 each year Lockeport and Clarks Harbour Featuring parades, community events, suppers, etc. Tall Ships Every four years tall ships visits our port. This year the festival will also feature a pirate camp for the kids, harbour cruises, kitchen party, and lots of costumed pirates.  Next event is in 2011. See you then!
